nohalter stripped
The shop boys did some amazing work on the front end I was impressed with, even cleaned up the engine bay a bit for me. Nice little surprise. |
I bought this beauty in December 2006, drove it an hour and half home in rainy weather and parked it behind the house on a cement pad for the entire winter. It hurt to see her sitting out there all winter, but the thought of a new paint job made everything okay.
Once April came around and my car insurnace kicked in, the construction of nohalter began. The body shop took her in, stripped her, removed all the trim and got her ready for primer and a nice new coat of Oxford White.
Whether this was just making conversation, the boys at the shop commented how clean the car was, especially underneath, (which was a relief to me, considering I saw the car, drove it around the block, and bought it within the time span of less than an hour).
Overall a nice job, exceptions being the sanding and re-painting of my quarter window trim, (which I specifically requested not to do). However, 2 returns to the shop since then and I give up. The paint keeps cracking and they now instead of removing the paint and re-painting the trim just paint over it.
Therefore, if you want something done, do it yourself. That's my new spring project. |
primed
Switched out the ponies for Turbines, just in case of paint and scratch mishaps. |
clean rear
Like I said they went all out for me. Even took off the bumper and fixed this weird, very minute warp that bulged a bit on the GT back bumper. |
smoked headlights...
At the end they installed my new smoked headlights, which finished off the car beautifully. Since then I've added the smoked foglights and the smoked 3rd brake light. |
putting back the pieces...
Nice job on the hood. They made sure to cover the car up to prevent overspray in the engine bay, much appreciated. |
